“Whose love of the island and of the sea merged at this harbour”
—
The Isle of Arran lies in the dark blue swell of the Firth of Clyde off the west coast of Scotland. On the 21 March 2013 the island was hit by a blizzard that crushed the power lines running alongside the main ‘String Rd’and left the island without power for over a week. The remote got a lot remote’er very fast…

A recent commission for New Balance back in Flimby, Cumbria bolstered my affinity with this place… Wish I had a little more time up there to formulate my feelings into something coherent, maybe in the future this will all make some sense to me. I’ll keep on it…
Habitual…

Just realising how many images I have of my left hand testing light-fall before I shoot… It’s becoming a nervous twitch.

For those of you in the Midlands or who may be travelling up to ‘nerd-out’ on new gear. I’ll be talking at the Lowepro Stand at Focus on Imaging at the NEC in Birmingham on 04-03-13.
I may meander a little, but I’ll be aiming to talk about the impact and influence that Skateboarding has had on my life and photographic ‘carear’.
Its only short so you wont need a pillow… See you there.

Half a day in a 15×15 foot carpeted room beneath Night and Day Cafe in Manchester… Pretty proud of this achievement. Filmed for the magical Soup Collective who went to town on the 3D sensor footage!
Highlands…

3 hours on the ground between flights on a last-minute commission in the Highlands… Would have liked to have stayed for the weekend. Gutted I didn’t have the foresight.
